After the call to the bar of Ontario Virginia practiced with a small firm in Stratford Ontario. Then to Toronto to work as a Provincial Civil Servant lawyer, then worked with a municipality. Moved to a large Toronto law firm doing municipal law, then a boutique Toronto firm and ended her career as a sole practitioner in Oakville.Virginia became a municipal law specialist certified by the Law Society when the specialty was approved in 2006.Highlights of her career:•Elected President Ontario Bar Association•Elected director Canadian Bar Association•Elected Bencher of the Law Society•Appointed as Queen's Counsel (now King’s Counsel) in 1982.•Recipient of the Ontario Bar Association - Linda Adlam Manning Award for Volunteerism in 2006. •Awarded the Law Society Medal by the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2010.
